The former President of the United States traveled from his golf club in New Jersey to the southern city. The purpose of his trip was to face arrest in connection with an alleged plot to overturn the results of Georgia’s 2020 election.
Earlier today, he informed his social media followers about his upcoming journey to Atlanta, Georgia. He stated that he would be taken into custody by Fani Willis, the District Attorney known for her left-leaning and radical views. The reason for his arrest, as he claimed, was a phone call he deemed flawless, in which he dared to challenge what he considered to be a manipulated and unlawfully acquired victory in the election.
The authorities in Atlanta took measures to ensure a smooth route for Mr. Trump’s transportation from the airport to the detention facility. Accompanied by a motorcade and trailed by news helicopters, he completed the brief journey and arrived at approximately 7:30 pm local time (9:30 am AEST).
